Charvak Lake, the Chimgan Mountains, and Amirsoy Mountain Resort sit close together in the Bostanliq district, roughly 90–100 km northeast of Tashkent — the Tashkent region's most popular mountain escape, and an easy day trip from the capital. The drive out follows the road through Gazalkent before climbing into the Chatkal foothills. Charvak Lake, Uzbekistan's largest reservoir, comes into view first — a striking stretch of turquoise water against the mountains, worth a stop for photos or a walk along the shore. From there it's a short drive further into the mountains to Chimgan, known for its chairlift and hiking trails with sweeping views over the Tian Shan range, and to Amirsoy, Uzbekistan's newest mountain resort with a modern gondola cable car running year-round. This is a private car and driver, not a guided tour — there's no fixed itinerary or guide walking you through each stop. Your driver takes you between Charvak, Chimgan, and Amirsoy and waits while you explore each one at your own pace, then brings you back to Tashkent the same day. The price shown is the full round trip; there's no separate one-way fare, since nobody really does this as anything but a there-and-back day out. Beyond the scenery, the appeal is simple: it's noticeably cooler in the mountains than in Tashkent, especially from May to September, and in winter Amirsoy runs as a real ski resort.
