How do I get from Bukhara to Khiva if there is no train on my travel date?
The direct train (Jaloliddin Manguberdi) only runs 3 days a week (Tue/Thu/Sat from Bukhara to Khiva, Wed/Fri/Sun return). On the other 4 days, or if tickets are sold out, we highly recommend a TourFixer private transfer. It costs about $100 for the whole car, takes 6.5 to 7.5 hours, and allows you to stop for lunch and photos in the Kyzylkum Desert. Book this exact route, including the desert fortress stops, with TourFixer here: Bukhara β Khiva via Desert Fortresses.
Is Yandex Go available in all major tourist cities in Uzbekistan?
Yandex Go works excellently in Tashkent and is very reliable in Samarkand. In Bukhara, coverage is thin, meaning you might wait 10-15 minutes for a ride. In Khiva, it is practically not useful, as the historic walled town (Itchan Kala) is pedestrian-only. Yandex Go only covers rides within a single city. For travel between cities, or if you'd rather have a reliable pickup within a city too, a TourFixer private transfer with driver covers both β browse TourFixer transfers here.
