Bukhara's old city is compact, so most visitors use the car mainly to get to and from their hotel and to reach a couple of sites slightly outside the historic core, then walk between the closely clustered central sights: the Po-i-Kalyan complex, Lyab-i Hauz, the Ark Fortress, and the old covered bazaars.
